Whole Mackerels (no heads no tails) come with skin and bone and are prepared and canned by hand, as company tradition. These are large Mackerels (rarely 2 or 5) take up 3/4 of the can! 

This particular offering is packed in a nice tangy tomato sauce with some piri-piri added for spice.  This southern Portuguese brand are some of the spicier versions on the market due to the flavor preference of the algarvian pallet.
